The luxe 7132 Hotel in Vals, Switzerland is the perfect marriage between modern architecture and natural mountainous scenery. Far away from mass tourism, the 5-star hotel in Graubünden offers relaxation and rejuvenation at its finest. With rooms designed by world-class architects, connecting thermal baths, as well as its very own helicopter, 7132 Hotel offers something for everyone.
7132 Hotel also offers three gourmet restaurants, including the two-Michelin-starred 7132 Silver Restaurant by Sven Wassmer, 7132 DaPapà, which serves up pizza, pasta and great wines, and 7132 Red Restaurant, which offers a modern casual dining atmosphere.
All in all, this idyllic romantic location in the Swiss mountains offers a relaxing escape not to be missed.
One of the hotel’s most significant features is Therme Vals, the thermal baths, which can be reached by elevator, making it all a very seamless experience. The architectural masterpiece by Peter Zumthor was made from 60,000 slabs of Vals quartzite, and the thermal baths were classified as a listed building shortly after completion. The highly mineralized water from the St. Peter’s spring deeply relaxes people at 30° Celsius, and the numerous indoor and outdoor pools, fire bath (42° Celsius), and 12 sweating stones with steam bath will melt away your worries and cares in no time.
7132 Hotel and its adjoining sister property House of Architects by 7132 offers rooms designed by some of the world’s most famous starchitects, including Tadao Ando whose designs resemble Japanese teahouses, Thom Mayne whose designs provide a futuristic three-dimensional experience, Peter Zumthor whose designs involve stucco lustro with a modern take, and Kengo Kuma whose designs are inspired by Japanese carpentry.
Single rooms start at US$410 a night, while a Spa Deluxe Room goes for US$980, and the Penthouse costs US$3,100 a night.
A double room at House of Architects costs US$410.
