COMO Shmabhala in Bali advocates holistic health, combining modern science with ancient healing, offering signature massage and beauty treatments. The team includes a range of resident experts, including an oriental medicine consultant, an Ayurvedic doctor, and a yoga teacher. Guests can enjoy a number of outdoor activities at the estate such as hiking, climbing, yoga and aqua therapy. Many guests enjoy alone time or come with their partner. Residences are also ideal for families and groups.
The resort offers a 360-degree approach, with wellness programs tailored to your individual needs, all designed to heal mind, body and spirit. Guests can choose from three key wellness retreats, such as the “Ayurveda”, “Cleanse” and “Be Active” programs, with an additional “Bespoke” package designed with your specific needs in mind. They are all full board, and in each one you will have a private wellness consultation to kick-start your healing journey. The programs come with a number of therapies, such as private qigong, tai chi, meditation or yoga lessons, as well as customized massages and aqua therapy sessions.
Enjoy local Indonesian cuisine at Kudus House (where guests also take their breakfast), or treat yourself to the award-winning COMO Shambhala Cuisine at Glow, which marries healthy nutritious food and sophisticated tastes to maximize performance and balance blood-sugar levels. For people on a wellness program, the resident nutritionist and the Ayurvedic doctor can create special diets to match personal requirements. Dining options are extremely flexible, so guests can enjoy a romantic dinner for two on the terrace of their suite, or opt for a family gathering in a private residence.
Single rooms with breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner, plus a massage, start at US$700 a night.
Full board wellness programs for 3 nights in a garden room start at US$2,100.
WHAT WE LOVE
- The resort is breathtaking. Even though there aren’t that many rooms, the property is quite vast. Spend at least three days here to explore everything.
- The natural spring pools are magical, and the water is said to have healing qualities.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- COMO Shambhala Estate is surrounded by jungle. There can be the occasional monkey, snake or squirrel that come to say hi.
- Each room/villa is unique in its design. If you spend more than a week here, you should definitely try out other rooms.
30 rooms (including 5 residences, 5 retreat pool villas, and 5 private villas).
There are two main pools; the aqua therapy and the lap pool. Guests can also enjoy the natural spring pools on their way down to the Ayung River. And residences also have their own pool.
