HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Depending on individual needs, assessments may cover digestive, metabolism metabolic, muscle, cardiovascular, brain and cellular health, and the body’s response to stress.
Gut health receives particular attention through a modern interpretation of F.X. Mayr medicine. Laboratory testing and microbiome analysis may be combined with nutritional guidance, abdominal treatments, movement, and stress reduction. Therapeutic fasting is available, although guests also have other ways to follow the nutritional principles of F.X. Mayr medicine.
Movement is assessed in detail through gait and movement analysis, which can identify imbalances and movement patterns that may affect mobility or performance. Sports scientists, physiotherapists, and orthopedic specialists use the findings to develop individualized plans for strength, movement, and exercise.
BUFFMED HEALTH PROGRAMS
Buff Medical Resort offers BuffMed programs ranging from three to 21 nights, with options for both focused stays and more comprehensive health programs.
BuffMed Classic is available for 10, 14, or 21 nights and focuses on digestive and metabolic health, longevity, physical performance, stress reduction, and regeneration. Priorities are set together with the medical team, and F.X. Mayr therapeutic fasting can be included as part of the program.
BuffMed Advanced combines the Classic program with the cardiac diagnostics available at Buff Medical Resort, including cardiac MRI and cardiovascular risk assessment. BuffMed Fasting Pure places greater emphasis on F.X. Mayr fasting and nutritional counseling.
Shorter options include the seven-night BuffMed Vitality program, along with three-night BuffMed Sports, BuffMed Relax, and BuffMed Cardio programs. Environmental apheresis is also available as an add-on for suitable guests following a medical consultation.
ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS
Buff Medical Resort has its own MRI scanner technology and offers cardiac and brain MRI alongside digital gait analysis, blood pressure profiling, vascular age assessment, laboratory testing, and body scans. This allows many medical assessments to take place within the resort itself.
Cardiac MRI provides a detailed, non-invasive assessment of the heart without radiation. Specialists can examine heart muscle movement, pumping performance, oxygen supply, and small structural changes that may help identify cardiovascular risks.
Brain MRI is used to examine brain structure and blood flow. Findings can be considered alongside areas such as sleep, metabolism, cardiovascular health, physical performance, and the gut-brain connection to provide a broader view of brain health.
THERAPIES
The therapy menu at Buff Medical Resort includes physiotherapy, osteopathy, fascia therapy, Rolfing Structural Integration, manual lymphatic drainage, cupping, and kinesiotaping. Guests can also take part in personal training, yoga, Pilates, Qi Gong, Tai Ji?, meditation, and Watsu water therapy.
Ayurveda is also part of the wellness offering. Experienced Ayurvedic physicians and therapists from India provide treatments including Abhyanga full-body oil massage, Shirodhara, and herbal therapies. Personalized consultations with Ayurveda physicians can include body-type analysis and individual recommendations.
For skincare, Buff Medical Resort uses certified organic TEAM DR JOSEPH products. Treatments combine plant-based active ingredients with techniques including fascia massage, biodynamic cupping, and flower stamps.
SPA
The 1,200-square-meter spa at Buff Medical Resort includes a steam bath, bio sauna, traditional sauna, infrared sauna, Kneipp facilities, and relaxation rooms with a fireplaces. There is also a dedicated room for preparing for Wim Hof-style ice baths in water cooled to 4°C.
The spa also has a saltwork tower that releases salt aerosols into the air to create a sea-like climate, as well as a brine pool and a separate Aqua Shiatsu pool used for treatments with qualified therapists.
DINING
Food at Buff Medical Resort is tailored to each guest and can be adjusted according to medical findings. The kitchen uses fresh, seasonal ingredients, with many products sourced in organic quality from the Lake Constance region.
Guests can follow therapeutic fasting based on F.X. Mayr principles or choose the Longevity Cuisine, which applies the same nutritional philosophy to light gourmet dishes. This gives guests an alternative way to follow the program without undertaking a full fast.
ROOMS AND SUITES
Rooms and suites at Buff Medical Resort range from 28 to 350 square meters. All rooms are south-facing and feature spacious balconies or terraces, with beautiful views across the park towards Lake Constance. Interiors feature Swiss stone pine and natural wood, while the screw-free, metal-free beds are grounded. Double rooms also have bathtubs positioned to make the most of the surrounding views.
All double rooms and suites are equipped with technology that can simulate a high-altitude climate of up to 4,000 meters. The system is designed to support mitochondrial function, circulation, metabolism, and recovery while encouraging deeper, more restful sleep. It allows the overnight environment to become another part of the health program at Buff Medical Resort.
Larger options include the 126-square-meter Deluxe Suite, with two bedrooms, bathrooms, an infrared sauna as well as a cozy living area. and a south-facing balcony. The Presidential Suite can reach 350 square meters and includes a kitchen, roof terrace, balcony, private underground parking, and direct elevator access.
POOL
The pool area at Buff Medical Resort connects a 15-meter indoor pool with a 25-meter outdoor pool. The outdoor section extends into the park, with mature trees surrounding the pool and Lake Constance close by.
