Award-winning Subtle Energies draws from 25 years of clinical research and is now at the forefront of a range of animal-friendly and cruelty-free skincare brands to enter mainland China
Subtle Energies is a natural skincare brand, free from preservatives, parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances and colors, and it is officially certified by Leaping Bunny, the international guarantee against animal testing. Furthermore, it is part of a cruelty-free pilot program (along with three other brands: Neal’s Yard Remedies, Bulldog Skincare, and Seventh Heaven) to launch natural and ethical skincare in mainland China. The products will be available in mainland China later this year.
“This pilot project not only provides a genuine pathway for us to offer our family’s work in luxury natural skincare and wellness to China without any animal testing, but it also comes with the crucial assurance that the brand is not exposed to any post-market animal testing once the brand hits the market,” said Nicki Irani, Director of Operations and Brand Development of Subtle Energies.

The pilot program, which was announced by China’s National Medical Products Association, will not include animal tests in post-market testing for finished imported and domestically produced cosmetics in China.
Together with Cruelty Free International, one of the world’s longest standing and most respected animal protection organization, and companies with a Leaping Bunny certification, such as Fengpu Industrial Park, Oriental Beauty Valley and Knudsen&CRC, Subtle Energies is dedicated to raising awareness and ending animal testing.
“At this stage, this does not automatically mean that brands can import to China overnight and be cruelty free, but we are delighted that through cooperation and partnership our aim to end cosmetics animal testing everywhere and forever is coming closer,” says Michelle Thew, Chief Executive of Cruelty Free International.

Our favorite Subtle Energies products include the Facial Blend, an exquisite and precious blend that contains potent anti-aging actives that restore the skin’s youthful appearance, while its heavenly aroma nurtures the senses and uplifts the spirit. It contains mogra and ashwagandha to stimulate cell renewal.
Another popular product and best-seller is its Aura Protection Body Mist, which is a unique and alcohol-free mist that helps cleanse the energies, increases focus and enhances decision-making. It is great for meditation and yoga, but also a must-have for corporate environments to energetically clear the space. Ingredients includes saffron, holy basil (eliminates negativity) and rhu khus (oil of abundance).
We also love the Relax Body Blend, which cools the body from the inside out. Formulated with the cooling antioxidant base of brahmi and black sesame seed, its aromatic essential oils calm the nerves, help release tension and improve sleep, also enriching and hydrating the skin.
All products are made in Australia and do not contain parabens, mineral oils, silicones or artificial fragrances. The brand follows European standards of natural skincare to create safe, ethical and effective products that have been certified by Cruelty Free International.
