Founder of Flex Studio Hong Kong and Singapore; REAL Pilates Lead Educator

Heather Thomas, a Pilates instructor for over two decades, holds certifications from renowned programs including Benjamin Degenhardt’s 360° Pilates and Alycea Ungaro’s REAL Pilates. As Lead Educator for REAL Pilates, she conducts trainings in Hong Kong and Singapore. Heather founded Flex Studio in 2005 (Hong Kong) and 2023 (Singapore), now premier fitness destinations and Pilates Teacher Training Centers. With a background in ballet and yoga, she leads retreats and workshops empowering physical well-being. Heather’s business acumen, from degrees at Johns Hopkins and Columbia Business School to marketing with Disney, shapes her innovative approach in expanding Pilates globally. Mika, a Tokyo-based Yamuna® Body Rolling (YBR) practitioner, has over 8 years of experience teaching the YBR Method. Fascinated by marathon running in her early 40s, she qualified for the Tokyo Women’s Marathon in 2008 but faced injuries. Discovering the YBR Method, Mika met founder Yamuna Zake in New York, inspiring her to become Hong Kong’s first qualified YBR instructor. After training others, she returned to Japan, aiming to apply her expertise to help her community achieve body sustainability.

Mika, a Tokyo-based Yamuna® Body Rolling (YBR) practitioner, has over 8 years of experience teaching the YBR Method. Fascinated by marathon running in her early 40s, she qualified for the Tokyo Women’s Marathon in 2008 but faced injuries. Discovering the YBR Method, Mika met founder Yamuna Zake in New York, inspiring her to become Hong Kong’s first qualified YBR instructor. After training others, she returned to Japan, aiming to apply her expertise to help her community achieve body sustainability.
