After the yoga practice, participants indulge their senses with a wholesome lunch made from organic and locally sourced ingredients. The afternoon brings a second program session, featuring restorative yoga or workshops led by guest teachers and local craft artisans, all curated by Karl. Karl Straub
Jivamukti Yoga Instructor, 20 Years Teaching Experience
Karl Straub was born in North Carolina, discovered meditation at a young age, excelled as a competitive swimmer, singer, dolphin communication researcher, and graduated from Duke University. He founded one of the world’s first web hosting companies, and lived in NYC for 6 years. In 2005, Karl made a life-changing decision to dive deeper into yoga and meditation. He sold his business, donated his possessions, gave up his Manhattan apartment, and embarked on a journey of 8 years, during which he kept no fixed address, traversed over 40 cities in 12 countries, practicing, studying, and eventually teaching. For over 20 years now Karl enjoys sharing yogic practices for a healthy balanced life with depth, clarity, and warmheartedness. He draws inspiration from his family, friends, teachers, and students for this incredible ongoing journey.
