OVERVIEW
Kudadoo Maldives Private Island is the perfect hideaway on a remote island, but equipped with all the luxuries you can possibly dream up. Just 40 minutes by seaplane from Malé, the island is 100% solar-powered and features spacious over-water villas with private pool decks, which are perfect for al fresco breakfasts, private yoga sessions, and romantic sunset moments in the evening.
The heart of Kudadoo is The Retreat, which is where the restaurant, bar, wine and cheese cellar, infinity pool, gym, and spa are located. It also features an upper deck with conference facilities for corporate holidays or client meetings. The restaurant serves “Unscripted Dining”, which means you can choose whatever you want to eat, whenever, wherever.
ANYTHING. ANYTIME. ANYWHERE
Kudadoo’s concept of “Anything. Anytime. Anywhere” is a luxurious full-board program where everything is included from food and beverage to wellness treatments to activities. The all-inclusive package also means you will have a personal butler during your entire stay, who will wait on you hand and foot. He will serve up Instagram-worthy breakfasts on your terrace, organize private yoga and meditation sessions for you, go snorkeling with you on the house reef, plan romantic dinners, and yes, possibly take all your photos too. He is just a phone call away and will organize everything for you.
WELLNESS HAVEN
The Sulha Spa is located high above the ocean, so you can take in the magnificent panoramic ocean views while relaxing in the al fresco bathtub. All body- and skincare products at the holistic spa are by Healing Earth, an African beauty brand, which uses natural and organic ingredients that don’t harm the corals. The wide range of treatments includes facials and regular massages, as well as Reiki, Zen Shiatsu and Sound Showers with Tibetan singing bowls and gongs. The spa also features the Maldives’ first and only salt room, the Lonu Cave. It is lined with mineral-rich Himalayan salt. Spending 45 minutes in the cave and breathing in the air is like spending two days on the beach.
VILLAS
Kudadoo offers a discreet number of 15 overwater residences: 13 one-bedroom Ocean Residences at 3,200 square feet, and two spacious two-bedroom Ocean Residences spanning 9,000 square feet.
RATES
Rates at Kudadoo Maldives Private island start from approximately US$3,400 per night.
WHAT WE LOVE
- Kudadoo Maldives Private Island is 100% solar-powered.
- One of our favorite features is the salt cave. It is the only salt room in the Maldives. Try to find time to spend at least 30 minutes a day in the salt chamber to reduce allergies and improve your health.
- Each villa has a dedicated butler who will make all your wishes come true.
- All villas feature a very smart AC, which monitors your body heat with sensors and regulates the temperature accordingly.
- For weddings and other big events, you can book the entire resort and make it your very own private island.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
After landing in Malé, you will have to take another 40-minute seaplane to get to Kudadoo. If you arrive in the evening you will have to stay overnight in the city, as the seaplane only flies during the day.
Activities to choose from are predominantly water sports (above and under the sea), such as scuba diving, jet skiing, kite- and windsurfing, wakeboarding, paddle boarding, fishing, and snorkelling. However, you can also enjoy sunset dolphin cruises or yoga and meditation sessions. Or enjoy a trip to its sister hotel, Hurawalhi Island Resort, where you can make use of the facilities. We highly recommend having dinner at the famous 5.8 Undersea Restaurant, the world’s largest underwater dining room.
POOL
Each villa has its own private infinity lap pool.
TRAVEL IN STYLE
It’s an intimate exclusive resort, so you can pretty much wear anything you want. You will want to spend most of your time barefoot, but do bring some kaftans and elegant beachwear for dinner at The Retreat.
WHEN YOU SHOULD GO
December – April has the perfect weather conditions – little rain and lower humidity.
May – November is considered wet/rainy season. You’ll experience periods of heavy rainfall and strong winds. But storms should pass fairly quickly, and you can expect a solid 28°C during the day and night.
