OVERVIEW

Located in Franschhoek, approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Cape Town, Mont Rochelle covers 39 hectares with the most amazing views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards.

A wine estate that was named “South African Vineyard of the Year 2018”, Mont Rochelle boasts its own grapes and wine production, which guests can discover with wine-maker Dustin Osborne and taste in the wine cellar or on the terrace of The Country Kitchen. The estate also offers a number of activities suited for a family holiday.

THE MANOR HOUSE

On top of its 22 rooms and suites, Mont Rochelle offers the option to book a private and exquisite villa to enjoy privacy for yourself and your family or friends. A heritage building located a two-minute ride from the main hotel and a stone’s throw from The Country Kitchen, the Manor House can accommodate up to 8 adults and 6 children (in the bunkroom). Guests staying at the house will enjoy full access to the hotel facilities but also solo use of two private pools, private gym, games room and private garden. Staying at the Manor House also comes with tailor-made drink packages for the guests (featuring the best wines from the estate), breakfast and lunch or dinner which can be cooked at the house by a private chef or served at one of the two hotel’s restaurants: Miko and The Country Kitchen.

Even though a wine estate and a five-star hotel where guests can peacefully leisure, Mont Rochelle also happily welcomes “Little Corkers”. Guests may enjoy an array of family-friendly activities ranging from horse rides throughout the estate and the vineyards to wine stomping and grape juice tasting. The estate grounds are also dotted with law games for families to spend fun time outside in the sun.

RATES

Rooms start at US$450/night during low season (May to August) and US$530/night during high season.

Manor House exclusive use with daily breakfast, daily lunch or dinner, a tailor-made drinks package per guest and complimentary wine tasting session starts at US$5,300 during low season and US$7,300 during high season.
