We’re the first to check into Rosewood Phuket and experience the brand’s new Asaya wellness concept
Thrilled to be Rosewood Phuket’s first guests to check into the brand new hotel on the day of its opening, we were also right up front to sample its newly launched Asaya wellness concept thanks to Lifestyle Asia.
Marking Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ foray into Southeast Asia, the new resort is located on the 600-meter stretch of beach at Emerald Bay. Made up of 71 pool pavilions and villas (ranging from 130 – 796 square meters), the property blends into the tropical landscape, making it a 360-degree nature experience, complete with hilltop forests, lake, wetlands and the beach.
The interior design is sophisticated and contemporary, offering a cozy home away from home to while away the time in your gorgeous pool villa.
The resort however has plenty of options to keep you entertained on your Phuket getaway. Dining options include authentic Thai cuisine at the gorgeous Ta Khai (do make a reservation for an interactive dinner), Italian food at Red Sauce, which also offers breakfast in the morning (sit outside to take in the view overlooking the resort), seafood specials at The Shack and cocktails by the pool at Mai.

Rosewood’s new integrative Asaya wellness concept, which is firmly rooted in the belief of self-acceptance and self-discovery, will give you a complete overhaul with bespoke programs featuring holistic therapies, such as Sound Healing with singing bowls, Watsu in a special heated pool, energy healing through Reiki, abdominal massage with Chi Nei Tsang, as well as meditation and yoga.
The word Asaya means “understanding where you came from” in Sanskrit. The idea is to embrace your personal journey to self-acceptance.
Upon arrival at Asaya’s signature Wellness Atelier your bespoke experience begins as you and your lifestyle coach design tailored experiences together to fulfill specific goals. Furthermore, you will also select ingredients, often freshly picked, from the spa’s herb garden to create your very own body scrub.
